Severe weather is expected to occur during our service window this afternoon and into the evening. Severe weather can cause extensive delays (downed trees, flash flooding, tornado warnings, etc.) that Amtrak or CSX may deem necessary to ensure the safety of our crews and passengers. Delays of 15-25 minutes are common and extensive delays due to downed trees are possible. Updates will be provided throughout service if necessary.

CSX has issued heat-related speed restrictions on the Camden and Brunswick lines until 7:00 pm today. Trains will travel at reduced speeds. 10-15 minute delays are possible--the fewer stops a train makes, the more delay it will incur (since express trains operate longer distances at a higher rate of speed). Reminder: MARC Penn Line - Parking changes at Bowie State University station this Friday
On Friday May 22, the parking lot on the University side of the Bowie State MARC station will be closed to MARC passengers. Bowie State University will celebrate its Spring 2026 Commencement and graduation. All MARC passengers must park in the parking lot on the Lemons Bridge Road side of the station (this is the side with the southbound/to Washington Union Station platform). MARC passengers are strongly encouraged to avoid Jericho Park Road and Race Track Road, and there will likely be very heavy traffic on Route 197. You should allow additional time to drive extra distance to the southbound parking lot and for any traffic-related delays. Thank you for riding MARC Train. We wish the Class of 2026 at Bowie State University all the best in their post-graduation endeavors.
