Metro Subway is temporarily adjusting service this weekend (Friday, Dec. 12 through Monday, Dec. 15) to accommodate testing of MTA's new rail car fleet. Please read this schedule carefully. FULL CLOSURE & FREE SHUTTLE BUS SERVICE (FRIDAY & SUNDAY) During the following times, all Metro Subway stations will be closed. Free shuttle bus service will be in place between all stations. These meetings will present the latest technical project analysis, including projected ridership, cost, and environmental and economic impacts, and will help identify potential transit solutions for Southern Maryland. The SMRT project aims to provide an alternative travel option between Southern Maryland and the Washington, D.C. region.
